How did Dr. Tran's mission come about?

 

Today, it is more critical than ever to develop and live a meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling life. For instance, in the 20th century, businesses focused more on profit, title, status, and the corporate ladder. However, in the 21st century, businesses are still aiming to make a profit while also making a social impact.  

The reason for the shift is that, as human beings and as a society, we are climbing higher up the hierarchy of human needs. Before the 21st century, we were more focused on making a living to survive, which is lower on the hierarchy of human needs. However, in the 21st century, society is advancing and moving up the hierarchy of human needs, creating meaning and purpose by using our inner strengths to make an impact.  

Therefore, you must learn to adapt and evolve with society to thrive. Otherwise, you will be left behind.  

However, many people have difficulty adapting to this change, which has prevented them from thriving and reaching their full potential. From this awareness of the problem, Dr. Tran's mission has manifested.

About Dr. Mykim Tran

Dr. Tran specializes in humanistic psychology, guiding you to develop a meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling life so you can thrive and continue to move up the hierarchy of needs, avoiding being left behind. Humanistic psychology empowers individuals to embrace their authenticity, kindness, compassion, and understanding while utilizing their passion and creativity to make a positive impact on society.  
 

Dr. Tran journey into this field began with a desire to understand human motivation and its role in enhancing health, wellness, and self-confidence. While pursuing a master’s degree in health psychology, she discovered humanistic psychology, which immediately captivated her and led her to pursue a PhD in humanistic psychology, which she completed in 2022. 
 
After years of studying human motivation and potential, Dr. Tran couldn’t find a model that helps individuals create a meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling life, despite extensive literature on the subject. Therefore, her research goal is to identify the optimal behavioral path to fill that gap.  
 
With over 15 years of education and experience in personal development and behavioral science, Dr. Tran offers an authentic approach to raising awareness about the importance of meaning, purpose, and fulfillment, and how they can help you thrive.

Dr. Tran is the founder and the CEO of the Wake-Up Foundation, a nonprofit organization that empowers youths to become social change agents and strengthen communities.  

She is also the author of “Self-Esteem Building: How to Live Your Life as YOU” and co-author of “Secrets to Drama-Free Love,” where she emphasizes the importance of self-esteem, self-acceptance, and self-love in nurturing healthy relationships.
